Class Themes:
Living Off the Land
Let’s learn from past generations how to create a lifestyle of self-sufficiency and self-reliance! During this class, students will explore and preserve history while being introduced to valuable skills and concepts. We will gather & preserve food, reduce waste, use renewable energy, and create items for the home utilizing natural and/or recycled resources.
Art Through the Ages:
From cave paintings and pottery to stained glass and quilting, we’ll examine different types of art as we recreate using different methods & mediums! Join our adventure to discover more about people, cultures and history through art!
Journeys at the Junction:
Take a journey to discover all the wonderful people and items that travel
through, to and from La Junta. Students will attend the 2-hour session of Friday Fillers with Mrs. Kimberly as she introduces us to people, places and organizations that create our compassionate community.
