Camp Description: 

Let's transport back to the Middle Ages as we learn about legends, lords, and ladies by exploring castles, jousting, popular fashion, and armored knights! We invite you to join us on our journey through the history and culture of Medieval Times as we discover food, festivals, and fascinating art.

Restrictions

Participants must be 6 years to 12 years old when the program starts.

Hands-On History School Break Camps offers kids safe, fun, and engaging adventures through time at the Woodruff Memorial Library in La Junta.

  • 10%- History Colorado Member or 4th Grade History Buffs
  • 10%- Early Bird Registration (automatically applied through February 28th)
  • 10%- Multiple Children Enrolled (automatically applied) 
  • 10%- Educator/First Responder/Military
  • 10%- Past Hands-on History Enrollment (must have enrolled in a past program in the last 6 months)
  • 20%- Woodruff Memorial Library Card Holders
  • 20%- History Colorado Staff or Volunteer
  • 40%- For families that qualify for Free and Reduced Lunches
  • 70%-SNAP/WIC/CCAP families
