Class Themes:
Making Music:
How does music impact our lives? Let’s investigate the importance of music throughout history and around the world! Students will learn about historical musicians, build their own instruments, and discover how music is made.
Art Through the Ages:
From cave paintings and pottery to stained glass and quilting, we’ll examine different types of art as we recreate using different methods & mediums! Join our adventure to discover more about people, cultures and history through art!
Journeys at the Junction:
Take a journey to discover all the wonderful people and items that travel
through, to and from La Junta. Students will attend Friday Fillers with Mrs. Kimberly as she introduces us to people, places and organizations that create our compassionate community.
Modern Homesteading
How have people lived historically off of the land while creating a lifestyle of self-sufficiency and self-reliance? During this class, students will explore and preserve history while being introduced to valuable skills and concepts. We will gather & preserve food, learn basic sewing techniques, create items for the home and participate in many other fun hands-on activities!
