From comic books to stop-motion films, we'll explore all the ways we can tell stories, and what we can learn about history along the way! Students will get to create their own graphic novel, film, short story, or poem while learning about the people, events, and legends that shaped the Santa Fe Trail!

From building blocks to clay, what do you love to create? This day will be full of fun projects and challenges, to explore how things work and what we can make! Students will learn about the history of various toys, games, and art and create their own!

Let's explore the world of sports! Join us for our NEW Spring Hands-On History Fourth Fridays hosted at Trinidad History Museum from January to April, 2026.
This spring the Trinidad History Museum invites students in grades 1-8 to join us for Fourth Fridays: day camps full of art, games, movement, field trips around our community, and more! Each month will feature a different historical topic to be explored through creating and playing! As weather allows, Fourth Fridays will include walking field trips and time playing outside on the museum lawns. Fridays can be registered and paid for separately.
Hands-On History looks forward to providing a safe, engaging learning opportunities for elementary and middle school students this spring! Join us on January 23, February 27, March 27, and April 24, 2026. You can register for all 4 dates or sign up for individual dates throughout the spring. Registration for each Friday is $10.
